Beantoast (post jam)

Welcome to Beantoast, a rougelite where you fight beans in mythical space. You can upgrade your toast in the shop, allowing you to kill those pesky beans so much easier.

⚠️ Disclaimer ⚠️  -  This game does have a small intended beginners difficulty. This allows a sense of progress when buying shop upgrades and makes the game more fun, especially later on 👍

Game Mechanics:

- Shooting: Your toast is fantastic and is able to aim and shoot at beans all without your help.

- Movement: Your toast does need help moving around, so use ARROW KEYS or WASD to move. When unlocked, use SPACE to jump.

- Leveling: BEANS spawn around you and when killed, they give you xp and beans. Leveling up makes more and harder beans spawn, but also grants you one projectile count.

- Interactables: CHESTS appear around the map and cost BEANS to purchase, chests give you a random item that may aid or harm your run. OBELISKS require specific KEYS to open. When opened, you earn a great amount of xp.

- Shop: You earn 1 GOLDEN BEAN for every 10 BEANS killed. Golden Beans can be used in the shop to upgrade your toast's stats.

- Bean Types: 16 different bean types!
